In this issue of Huamei English International School "Sunshine Envoys" volunteer activity, students went to the Huolusha Forest Park in front of their school, to practice zero-carbon green life, picking up rubbish in the park, and maintaining the park's clean environment.

The students of Huamei English International School "Sunshine Envoys" Volunteer Group started from their school, carrying the tools needed for picking up rubbish, and walked to the Huolushan Forest Park.

After entering the park, the students worked in groups of two to pick up rubbish in their respective areas of responsibility. Inside the park, there were many rubbish such as cigarette butts, fruit peels, nut shells, plastic packaging and beverage bottles. The students performed their duties conscientiously and tried to leave no piece of rubbish behind.

The volunteers also had a special little task during this environmental event: they were required to pick up a leaf (or flower) that they felt was the most special while picking up rubbish.

At the end of the volunteer work, students took the leaf or flower they felt was most special to the gazebo on the hillside, where each of the four lead teachers led a discussion about concepts such as uniqueness and self-awareness, and drew leaf paintings.

This activity fully demonstrated the actions and confidence of the "Sunshine Envoys" volunteer group students in advocating a zero-carbon green life. The students of the volunteer group also hope that through their actions, they can advocate more citizens to know and practice zero-carbon life!
