If I am the mayor of Greater Bay Area, how would I attract more international talents to GBA?

Hello everyone. My name is Angela Sang. Recently, I was elected as the mayor of the Great Bay area. One of my important tasks is to attract more and more international talents to work and settle in the GBA area. I will focus on the following aspects:

First, “opportunities”. As per the Chinese saying, Chinese parasol trees are planted and golden phoenix is attracted. The bigger the parasol tree, the more the opportunities, and the more international talents who will come.  We will not only create job opportunities, but also let them play an important role.

Secondly, “support”.  Many international talents come to greater bay area to invest and set up their companies. As they are not familiar with the law and the process, we will set up a special organization to help them with many things, such as visa for the family, company set up, hiring, tax, etc. They can always get assistance whenever they need.

Thirdly, “diversity”. People from different countries have different cultures and habits, especially it is worth noting that they have different tastes when it comes to food. If they don’t eat well, there can be no doubt that they cannot reside here for a long time. We will therefore build more food marts with more choices, and sometimes we can even celebrate their festivals together.

Last one, “promote”.  As a mayor, we need to actively promote our area and cities to people all around the world. We will participate in world famous exhibitions and forums, and let outstanding international talent become our spokesman. We will build Websites and Apps, and make advertisements on popular social media. Greater bay area will become as popular as Silicon Valley in USA, but with more care and a richer culture.
