How to Prepare for KET or PET
Shared :

Cambridge English exams are recognized by over 25,000 universities, employers, and governments around the world. Cambridge English exams can open doors to higher education, improve employment opportunities, and because they are globally recognized, can increase our choices for study or work. However, do you know how to prepare for KET or PET?

First, you may test your English on the official website first, then you will be clearer about which grade you’d better try it out. You can refer to the score intervals and corresponding level table.

About KET or PET: Speaking is usually two people talking about a picture, using it as way to discuss a certain topic but it is usually not so easy for students to have some speaking practice chances. Writing for KET is just 25 words. For PET, it’s 80 words which is so much more difficult. However, writing should be easy. They will be presented with a question that has three questions inside it. Especially for KET, one sentence per answer means three sentences (25 words which is what they need). Reading/listening is best done by giving exam technique (read the question, look for key vocabulary). Listening is the most difficult for students. Practice from past papers is best. Students should read the question and look for important vocabulary. Reading is the second most difficult. Again, students should get used to underlining key vocabulary to understand the meaning. The test often uses synonyms as answers (The passage will say the student is hungry, so the answer is he wants to eat). It is recommended that you make good use of Reading Explorer before the exam. You can use it to improve reading speed and reading ability before the exam.

Although any exam has coping skills, it is built with sufficient ability to help achieve better results. If you don't have enough capabilities, the skills don't make much sense. So just try harder to practice as much as possible.
