It turns out it has a lot to do with astronomy. The Azure Dragon, White tiger, Vermillion Bird and Black Tortoise, known as the four animals in ancient China, are a way of dividing the starry sky in ancient China. The four images are one of the important contents in Chinese traditional culture. The four Houses of GIC, represented by the four animals, held a series of themed cultural month activities. Explore traditional Chinese culture and tell Chinese stories.

Activity 1

Guessing the Lantern Riddles

One night's east wind adorns a thousand trees with flowers

And blows down stars in showers.

  Fine steeds and carved cabs spread fragrance en route;

  Music vibrates from the flute;

  The moon sheds its full light

While fish and dragon lanterns dance all night.

The beginning of the school year coincides with the Lantern Festival. The activities of the Azure Dragon Culture Month kicked off by guessing lantern riddles. These riddles are closely related to the Lantern Festival. Riddles are also available in Chinese and English. These riddles attracted the participation of many students. In this process, students are stimulated to think and imagine.

Activity 2

On this day, people shave dragon heads, eat dragon food, set up dragon boats, hold sacrifices, travel in spring and other activities.

Activity 3

Dignity, honor, integrity, and respect are key core values of GIC. They are the link of the four houses and the goal of cultivating our character.
