On the24^th of August, Huamei International School held the New Teachers Orientation for New International Teachers in the Conference Room at the Administration Building. General Principal, Assistant Principal, English & International Programs Director, Dean of Huamei Foreign Languages College, Canadian Secondary School Principal, directors, coordinators, new and returning international teachers attended the event.

Dr.Rocky Chen, the General Principal gave an inspiring presentation on the history,mission, and vision of Huamei International School. Ms. Serene Chen, AssistantPrincipal, English & International Programs Director, talked about the education values, school-wide curriculum framework, and teaching highlights that gave teachers a big picture of school curriculum.

After the presentations there was an icebreaking activity that helped the new teachers to become familiar with thecampus. Three or more new teachers and one returning teacher built a team. Eachteam was supposed to accomplish about 10 tasks on campus. The team with the bestperformance won the first prize. They were given 30 minutes to accomplish thetasks. As new teachers walked around the campus with the team leader—anexperienced teacher at Huamei, they got much familiar about the school and workedin teams with each other.
