As a teacher, before thinking about how to develop ourselves, we can measure  our distance from books,students, parents, top teachers first.  

I  Distance from books

    Actually, we teachers can’t work without books everyday. We spend a lot of time both on text books and Teacher’s Books. We often encourage students to read more books. We also try to make students read as many good books as they can. As their teachers, we should do the same things. After work,we need to read different kinds of books which include literature works, encyclopedias, books on educational theory etc.

II  Distance from students

We are the companions to students for their growth. The key point is how to deal with the relationship between students and teachers. A relationship that is too close or distant is not good for teaching implementation. Sometimes we are friendly as friends, elder brothers and sisters to them. Sometimes we are strict as a regulator. It takes an excellent teacher time and wisdom to keep a proper distance from students.

III  Distance from parents

The relationship between teachers and parents should be cooperators. Students’ growth can’t be separated from the cooperation between parents and teachers. Parents’ meeting is a traditional method to make us closer. Besides, we can strengthen bonds with parents by modern communication methods in usual.

IV  Distance from top teachers

A fine example has boundless power. Teachers need study and examples,too. We should often learn teaching experience from top teachers, which will promote the development of professional teachers.
