The weather is finally getting coolerin Guangzhou! Students have started putting on their winter uniforms (and alsoour staff). Though it’s cold outside, our heart is warmed up because of our wonderfulparents and lovely kids.

In order to build connections betweenparents and school, as well as providing our kids with diverse activities,starting from the middle of December, our kindergarten have started ParentVolunteers program of this semester:

The Elephant Class invited 2 parentvolunteers into the class to tell stories under our transdisciplinary theme: Chinesestory "Smell of the Moon" and Cantonese "The Coolest Giant inthe City". Elephant friends listened very carefully. Not only did they  know the diversified ways of presentingstories, but also understand that we can tell stories in different languagesand feel the charm of different languages.

Tiger Class invited Wang Xinyue’sparent to teach the children how to bounce the ball . Xinyue’s fatherstimulated the children's desire to learn the skill through fun games, and you cansee that the children learned really well!

Panda class invited Lucas’s mother tobring the story "Little Bus Tai You" combined with the transdisciplinarytheme "How do we organize ourselves" (transportation) to the children.Panda kids learned through the story to understand the names and colors ofdifferent cars, and the importance of obeying traffic rules... We were so interestedin the interesting story!

Teacher Yaofrom the middle school came to Penguin Class to teach the children to draw incombination with transdisciplinary theme "How do we expressourselves-stories". Teacher Yao's humorous and exaggerated teachingmethods make children interested and curious! The children are all wonderfullearners who are good at communicating and own strong willingness to try newthings.

Penguin kidsalso had Jiahao’s mom entering the class to share English stories with thechildren, so that the children could experience different languages topresent and convey the story content. Parent's rich body language attractschildren to actively participate and enjoy it.

It’s nice tosee how parents motivate to present rich games and activities to ourclassrooms, and you can tell from students eyes that they just loved it! Webelieve that there will be more and more parents or even community members willjoin this lovely team in the future.
