Students learn more from lessons with teachers than other sources

As we all know ,there are many sources forstudents to acquire knowledge like signing up for some lessons, entering schoolsor universities, surfing the Internet, watching cable television educationalshows and so on. I personally think that having lessons at schools oruniversities with teachers’ help is better than just learning through theInternet or television.

With the development of high-tech, we surelyenjoy the convenience which comes from Internet or television. We can adjustour own pacing on the courses we have on the Internet. It is more flexible tohandle our own schedules, which means we can learn whenever we want andwhatever we like. For this reason, we won’t feel frustrated and nervous all thetime like studying at school.

Additionally, it is more cost-effective tolearn at our house through technology like Internet. The tuition of learning athome is much lower than the conventional instructions’ fee. The transport andmeal plans are not problems any more. It helps us save time and money forvarious courses in more comfortable learning place apparently.

On the other hand, learning through thesources like Internet or television may be innovative. I still agree thatstudents should study at school with teachers chiefly. Learning at school willnot be superseded by learning through Internet .I believe true education whichcan be found at school is not only confined to the delivery of information, butalso contains the captivation of effective learning habits, the leadership ,thedevelopment of group discussion skills, the encouragement of cooptation, whichcannot be learned in online courses.

Furthermore, campus-based education is better to develop the mentoringpartnership between teachers and students. The distance-learning can rarelygain the mentoring partnership between he educators and learners. We can alsofind some really good students as friendly or models on studying. So we cantruly enjoy the atmosphere of learning, which we can’t have if we just learnonline.

Ingeneral ,though learning online probably has advantages on transmitting moreinformation, it can just work as a supplementary tool which cannot be acompetent substitute for traditional classrooms where teachers can teachstudents face to face and also build mentoring partnerships with them.
