   Due to Covid-19, all the Huamei schoolstudents had to study online from February 17th to May 17th, which gave me asuperior chance to take a challenge of online teaching.

    First of all, I invited all my students into a we-chat group in which Iwas able to informed them of the learning tasks everyday. Additionally，all the pupils downloaded OnlineHomework APP and Ding Talk APP, preparing for the new learning mode. Thestudents had my English lessons every Tuesday and Thursday on Ding Talk APP.One hour before my online lesson, I informed both the students and theirparents about the specific time of the lesson,which made sure all the studentswould attend the lesson punctually. Class warming-up is significant, and inasmuch,I showed a funny English story to the students before the lesson. After that, Italked about the story with the students in two minutes, through which theirconcentration was focused on my lesson. While teaching, I didn’t talk all the time,instead, students were guided to answer plenty of multiple choice questions onthe comment area. Immediately I praised the students who typed the rightanswers. Sometimes I would call several students online. They were supposed toanswer the questions orally with their faces shown. By this, I could effectivelycatch the attention of several absent-minded pupils. After class, I would sendthe messages to the parents whose child failed to attend the class and askedthem to watch the video recording.

Practice is a way of learning. So everyday I would gave theassignment to the students. Then I would checked their homework on time so thattheir could know their mistakes and enrich their knowledge. I suggested thatstudents contact me on we-chat any time if their have questions about Englishlearning.

 Inthis way I got better results in my online teaching, as the students’ averagescore of the online test is above 91. Also ,the students and parents aresatisfied with my online teaching. Therefore, I will carry on with my effectiveonline teaching methods and at the same time I will learn more efficientteaching methods from other outstanding teachers.
