---Remembering thefootball friendship competition between GuangzhouCanadian Schooland Huamei School

Football is an international sport and one of the mostpopular sports activities in the world, especially in North America. Since 2015, Mr. Jonathan Lake, who was a professionalfootball player, has been the sports trainer in the Huamei School PrimaryDivision GIA class. Under his coaching for the last several months, he has builtthe primary GIA program students into a boy’s and girl’s football team.

On Nov 4th, a fun friendship football competition betweenGuangzhou CanadianSchool and Huamei Schoolwas held in Huamei school football field. At 9 am, the boy and girl athletes ofour primary GIA program and the athletes of Guangzhou Canadian School wereenergetic and warming up on the football field with the competition starting at10am. All the athletes were passionate and fighting for the team. Although theyare still learning and improving their football skills, they enjoyed the competition.We believe that athletes from both schools can progress and build friendships throughcompetition.

It was a great opportunity for GuangzhouCanadian Schooland Huamei School to have a football exchange,which helped to enrich our school students’ extracurricular activity and to learnfrom their new friends. We are looking forward to having morefriendlyfootball competitions with Guangzhou Canadian Schoolin the future.
