---Record of EUL Program Signing Ceremony between Guangzhou HuameiInternational School and University of British Columbia

On March 21^st of 2016, under the witness byBritish Columbia Guangzhou Office Mr. Gao andGuangzhou Education Bureau Public Relations DepartmentDirector Ms. Huang Xuehong, Huamei International School (HMIS) held asuccessful EUL signing ceremony with University of British Columbia (UBC),Continuing Studies. It means that HMIS is working closely with more and morefamous Universities, and providing more chances for our students to experience universitylife ahead or share the education resources together.

It has been 2 months for both schools to reach thishistorical moment. On January 20^th of 2016, Mr. Chen Feng (Principalof HMIS) and Ms. Chen Xiaoying (English and International Programs Director)visited UBC and met Mr. Sun Lang (Director of UBC Continuing Studies) and his team. During the meeting, both parties had a preliminary discussion regarding university experience life program (EUL) and pre-university course curriculum.

EUL Program is designed for 12-17 years oldinternational students, which is a 2-week university life experience course.There are 5 layers of courses which focus on individual thinking training,global citizen recognition, leadership cultivation, sustainable developmentawareness and English language and learning ability. All the courses will be taught by UBC professors, in whichstudents could not only have a further recognition of Northern Americaneducation, but also could improve their understanding of Canadian diversity cultures so that to cultivate students’ global educational thought and expandtheir global vision.

The innovated cooperation program with UBC was spoken highly by Ms. Huang Xuehong. She said it was an innovative cooperation modelbetween high schools and universities and set a model for other schools in Guangzhou.

In addition to EUL Program we will cooperate with College of Chinese Language and Culture, Jinan University regarding Talent Coaching Base, run into STREAM Plan together with Zhixin High School. Meanwhile, Huamei Foreign Languages College of Guangdong Open Universityis to be set up in May and Huamei Education Research Institute is in planning. We believe that Huamei School will have greater prosperity in the future with theongoing reform efforts under the leadership of Principal Chen Feng and his team.
