At 4:50pm, October 9^th, Guangzhou Huamei International School (HMIS) has held the opening ceremony of the 2017 Sports & Health Festival ceremony and the New Football Pitch Commissioning Ceremony. This event aims to develop a consciousness of lifelong exercise and enhance physical fitness and so as to create a healthy and sunny campus among students and faculties. All of the students and school faculties from different school divisions have attended the opening ceremony and arranged a tour camp running activities which was led by division principals. Kindergarten and primary students were gathering together with holding a Chinese flags and stand at the certain places to cheers "runners " on.

After the running and an opening speech from Mr. Rocky Chen (Principal of HIMIS) , two football teams from students and school staffs were waiting and ready for the fist friendly match which to celebrate the come into use of new football pitch. The student football team was composed of middle school students, and the staff team was composed of the school faculties, included Mr. Rocky Chen (General principal of HMIS ), Danny Chen (Principal of Huamei International High School), Mr. Huxdorff, (German Program Coordinator), Mr. Merck (ESL teacher of Middle school), Ms. Wilson (program teacher of HBIC) and some Chinese PE teachers etc,. The match was in a heat after the first kick by the principal Mr. Rocky Chen. Every players from both team were totally immersed in the game which was a great opportunity for students and faculties to know each other and have fun together. Sports connected made them closer to each other.

“I love sports, I am happy, I get healthy, I am benefited”, hope each of our Huamei people can start a healthy and positive life and enjoy the fun of sports from now on.
