In mid-December, Huamei School welcomed an old friends from our sister school Frateran Catholic High School in Indonesia. One teacher and 7 students spent two weeks in Huamei. The International Secondary school organized a warm opening ceremony for the  exchange teacher and students. On the opening ceremony, Ms. Serene Chen, the Director of International programs , Mr. Steven Katsipodas, the Principal of HBIC and Mr. Antonius Haritono Indonesian team teacher made a speech. In the following two weeks, Indonesian exchange students had a series of lessons in our school, including Chinese, mathematics, handicrafts, calligraphy, martial arts and other courses in the International Students’Division . They also participated in the double diploma course . In addition to their studies, they also went to Changlong Paradise for a day trip and Lingnan culture trip for 2 days. Not as usual, this year Indonesian students went to the Huamei kindergartens and elementary school to do volunteer work. They delivered a interesting Indonesian cultural lesson to the children. The children learned to say hello and goodbye in Indonesian language. On the occasion of Christmas, Indonesian students and International students in the elementary school class made gingerbread together to celebrate Christmas . The closing ceremony of the 20th Cultural and Arts Festival of Huamei School will be on December 27th and Indonesian exchange students will perform  the distinctive Indonesian tradition and modern dance.
