Huamei Kindergarten was founded in 1993, and prides itself as being a multicultural and bilingual boarding centre in Guangzhou.The general mission of our kindergarten is “Integrating eastern and western educational philosophies, and cultivate Chinese modern elites”. To follow it and to cater for kindergarten feature, the kindergarten set its own mission as“utilizing eastern and western educational programs and resources, nurturinghealthy, confident and independent children who has international vision andenjoy reading, exploring and collaborating with others”. Huamei was ranked the No. 1 Private Kindergarten in Guangdong in 2003, and was highly commended by experts in theProvincial-level Review of Kindergartens in 2007 and 2015. The review regarded Huamei Kindergarten as a centre of the highest quality, with anadvanced philosophy on education, a strong administration team, and aprofessional and dedicated teaching staff. It provides an ideal service to thecommunity; experts further commended that Huamei Kindergarten was committed tonurturing healthy and self-confident children, and parents and society alikeare extremely satisfied. Also to Huamei Kindergarten’s credit, theestablishment undertakes important projects as a research foundation supportedby the State Ministry of Education, and sits on the Pre-school EducationCommittee of China’s Private Education Association.

Huamei Kindergarten enjoys the advantages of a kindergarten-primary connection school, and a recognized international program. The center itself sits nestled in the green hills north of Guangzhou, and boasts a flourishing natural environment on campus with ecological gardens, grass playing fields and tree-lined paths throughout. 

Drawing on 23 yearsof kindergarten management experience, Huamei provides a high-quality of lifefor the students, increasing their potential with healthy hearts, bodies and minds,and developing their social and communicative abilities through art, literatureand language.

A. Integrating IB philosophy into the design of international andpersonalized curriculum

1. Basic development curriculum(Nationalcurriculum): including health courses, language courses, social emotionalcourses, science courses, art courses and other life courses and activities.

2. Advanced developmentcurriculum(Featured international program): including children’s EnglishImmersion courses (Oxford),supplemented by Festival cultural experience and English interest group courses.

3. Personalized development curriculum:including optional kindergarten interest courses and the implementation ofindividual development plans to meet children’s different needs.

B. Well-developedand sophisticated education and caring system:

1. Huamei has scientific care-taking system. All the teachers havesigned responsibility paper to ensure every kid’s safety.

2. The center provides kids with a lot of choices to take exercise everyday,including swimming, mini basketball, and other outdoor games.

3. Huamei has Children's medical experts to ensure children’s physicaland mental health.

4. Huamei also has health-care nurse to provide suggestions on foodnutrition to ensure our children eat healthily in kindergarten.

D.Small classsize with outstanding teachers .

Huamei Kindergarten has small class sizeand good children-teacher rate (1:4) to ensure every children get enoughteachers’ attention. Each junior class has about 20 children; each medium andsenior class has 25-30 children. 5 teachers including one international teacherand one night life teacher will be responsible for each class’s teaching anddaily care. All of Chinese teachers achieve College or higher degree.

E.English-learning advantages:

2.Provide a full range of English learning and acquisition environment andconditions. In the critical period of language development, enable childrenimmerse in an English community to communicate naturally both in the collectiveteaching activities and daily life activities .

3.Hold half day immersion English learning and acquisition lessons andactivities, mainly includes: core courses, story teaching, AV teaching andoutdoor activity, western festival activities and etc.

4.Corecourses using the textbook “First Friends” fromOxford publisher and textbook “You and Me” fromMacmillan publisher. The content is professional, well-rounded and systematic.

5.Standardizedand effectively organized activities from the foreign teachers to ensure thesmoothly implementation and quality improvement of the English lessons.

F. Arts-learning advantage:

1. To ensure each child’s potentialis fully explored, Huamei has introduced an Interest Group Program, withvarious themes for children to choose from. Huamei employs first-class artsteachers and experts in many fields, and many of them have been recognized in Guangzhou city for theirachievements.

2.  The established Interest Groupprogram offers a choice of over ten subject areas, including “do re mi” EnglishSong Activities, “Little host” English Cooking, Science and Crafts in English,Rugby, Pottery art, Super stars and etc.
