Today I’d like to introduce you thetransforming leadership.

 

James Macgregor Burns first introduce theconcept of transforming leadership. In his word, transformation leadership is aprocess in which “leaders and followers help each other to advance to a higherlevel of morale and motivation. So if the system is too old, and didn’t fitanymore, the transforming leader can change the system with every follower,they’re in the same level and improve together. He also mentions Transactionalleaders. He said Transactional leaders do not strive for cultural change in theorganization, but the transforming leaders can change the culture oforganization. 

 

After 7 years, another researcher, BernardM Bass, extend the work of Burns. He use the term“transformational”instead of “transforming”. He talks about how it impacts followers’ motivationand performance and what is a good transformational leader. This style ofleader not only offers followers something more than just working for self -gain,but they provide followers with an inspiring mission and vision. However, incontrast to Burns, Bass suggests that leadership can simultaneously display.Transactional and Transformation leadership can both exist.

 

Transformational leadership is extensivelyused in business, market, technology. Most of Transformational leadership isused in business area.

 

Basically, Transformational leaders impact organizational growth, and theyare strongly willing to listen to others. That’s why they make success.
