Early on 9th July morning，all the twenty-five Huamei school students got up and  packed their luggages for  an exciting trip--July Conversation& American Culture Program in UCR.On the way to the airport, the students chatted with each other happily and got to know each other well.

Every students were excited and delighted to have this trip with their fellow friends  and teachers, Miss Su and Miss Wu. Successfully all the students passed the security check and got ready for the flight .This is first photograph of all the students and teachers taken in the airport.

It took us 15 hours to reach our destination-- University of California,Riverside. As soon as we arrived, all the nice homestay parents came to the campus and took the children home. First of all their show their passion to the children and then gave them the warm hugs.

All the students were  fond  of the homestays and they got alone well with all the family members.Some students told me that the homestay children invited them to play outdoor activities with them and they had  a  fantastic time.  This is the bedroom at homestay taken  by the students.

University of California, Riverside is a pretty university which is public，located in the university village. The bright sun is always beating down relentless and the crows are singing everywhere.

The second day the homestay family sent the students back to campus on time by their own cars. We were satisfied that all the students came with a happy smile on their face, which told us that they had  a wonderful sleep at homestays.

The class began at nine o'clock and  all the students concentrated on the classes. Program Orientation, Registration,Immigration Orientation,HealthOrientation and Homestay Orientation were included in the morning lessons.

At lunchtime ，the students enjoyed the yummy food  prepared by homestays. The food is various, such as  delicious hamburgers ，colorful sandwiches , butter muffins and so on.

We had  a wonderful shopping time during the afternoon in Ontario Mills.

On the third day,  the teaching assistants came to greet the students early and then separated them into different level groups. Quickly , the students went to different groups according to the signs raised  by the assistants.

In the afternoon ，the students did some interesting games such as the Scavenger Hunt which  helps them to get familiar with the campus environment. Then they had the conversation activity that encouraged them to communicate with other students who are from different countries , such as Korea and Japan.

On the fourth day，the program manager Nick who is very friendly and considerate greeted the students early when they got to school and played volleyball with them.All the students actively came alone and chatted with him and took photograghs with him.

After asking the permission, Miss Su  and I attended their class.The teachers are nice and professional and the classes are happy and efficient. The children  got into 4-people groups and cooperated  with the group memebers.

So far, all the students enjoy the life in UCR and  I believed that they would be merry during the following days
