On the last day of November, It was a great day for  a GIA assembly and our class organized the GIA assembly on that day. It was alsothe day for us to show what we have been learning during these months. At about4:15 p.m. in the afternoon, accompanied by the music “Reach for the stars” by William, we welcomed the other GIA members. After that, we started the assembly and I was the host of the assembly.

First, the “Four S’s”—Sam, Selena, Simon and Sunny from our class showed us about what have they learned in the Science class.

Second, we presented a special show that we’veprepared for 3 weeks—the song of the elements of the periodic table. It was extremely fast and a little difficult, but all the classmates sang it out loudly and we did an awesome job.

Third, we welcomed Vincent, Winnie, Tom and David. They talked about something we’ve been learning in Language Arts class, such as something about the immigrants and the refuges and something about how to write a good essay.

Because we’ve been learning American culture, we also held a Thanksgiving party this semester. After they talked about what have they learnt in the Language Arts class, Queenie, Zina , Angelina and Kitty  shared what they wanted to say to the people that have helped them before. It was a touching moment.

In the end we played a game called “star wars”, we used our finger to be a light saber which is in the movie star war. When we stick out our finger, we made a funny noise, like “bang” and it means start. Then, we used the finger to fight with each other, if some one touches others body, it mean she wins the game.

After the game, we finished our assembly successfully. That was an awesome assembly and we really enjoyed it.
