On June 15^th, grade 2 students hold a Father’s Day Party. We invited all the fathers to come to our party to celebrate father’s Day together with their kids, and almost all the fathers come.

Long before this party, we were learning about all kinds of dinosaurs, kids loved them very much. We were also learning about Rory the dinosaur me and my dad, which is about the story between dinosaur Rory and his Dad. Rory, the dinosaur. He loves spending time with his dad, but today he wants to go on his own adventure and explore his island home. He can't wait to tell his dad all about the things he can do all by himself, from crossing rivers to finding shelter from the rain. Little does Rory know, his father is never far behind. There's nothing Rory's dad won't do for his intrepid son--he'll even let him think he's made the journey all by himself. 

After learning this two parts, we grade 2 students started to write a book about their story between them and their dad just like Rory and his dad, and planned to give this book to their father as the father’s day gift for their Dad.

A day before the party, kids were practicing their book with six graders and they were also preparing programs for the party.

At the party, the kids gave their book to their father, and all the fathers shared so many interesting stories with us, we know so much better about the kids. Meanwhile, fathers were so moved, and they realized that they should spend more time with their kids, company is very important.
