On December 8^th, 2015, Guagnzhou Huamei International School was awarded the "Cambridge English School"  by Cambridge Press and Cambridge English Language Assessment. "Cambridge English school'  is a new project of the University of Cambridge and Cambridge University Press, aiming at supporting the formal English language education all over the world. As one of partner schools of Cambridge English Language Assessment, Huamei became the Cambridge Young Learners English (YLE) test center in 2002 and the KET and PET test center in the following year. Because of the contribution and achievement Huamei has made in Cambridge English exam, in 2014, Huamei was awarded the "Sustained Contribution to Cambridge English Exam in China", and became the first batch of schools being awarded as the "Cambridge English School". The Cambridge Press commented that "Guangzhou Huamei International School has demonstrated its commitment to qualify in language teaching by adopting high quality materials and exams from Cambridge University Press and Cambridge English Language Assessment."
