In the first set an excellent serving performance from Olivia (S3C2)led the way for HBIC as they were able to use a combination of concentrationand strong serves to take the opening frame. Team co-captain Yuny (S3C1) alongwith Victoria (S2C1), Kira (S3C1), Stephanie(S2C2) and Gloria (S3C1) showedexcellent team work and were able to outmatch their opponents throughout theset.
In the second set, HBIC was led by some powerful serving fromVictoria (S2C1) and a strong team performance once again using some goodservices and positioning to take the second set from YWIES.
In the final set, HBIC’s second squad took to the floor led by teamco-captain Kaylee (S3C1) leading the girls. A great performance from Lareina(S3C1) along with teammates Lucy (S3C1), Charlotte (S3C1), Olivia (S2C1),Jasmine(S3C2) helped to outmatch YWIES in the closing set to give HBIC thevictory.
Head Coaches Mr. Bumbaco and Mr. Golem are thankful to YWIES for theopportunity to play against their very young first year team who is stilllearning the game. They are also very proud of the girls for winning theirfirst ever competitive match against an outside school. HBIC will be back inaction on Tuesday October 24th when they go head to with CliffordInternational School at 4:30pm on the CIS Campus. Great Job Girls!!!!
