All of Huamei students, who come from families of high socioeconomic status, are required tolive in the school dormitories, not only because of the rules and features ofboarding schools, but also due to the fact that our collective livingconditions are beneficial to the students' growth and independence. In allrespects of transportation, safety, meals, health care, physical exercise,lesson review or personal hygiene, our school offers students the mostmeticulous care.

Huamei School provides the students with 7 sets of school uniforms each year for spring/summer, fall and winter use. Six mealseach day, including breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner and night snack, are all prescribed by professional nutritionists and prepared carefully by experienced cooks based on the nourishing program. Staple food - grain,flour and rice, and vegetable and meat dishes complement each other very well.A birthday party every month is an occasion for entertainment with a big birthday cake served by the school canteen.

Huamei students’ dormitories are well equipped with air-conditioners, shower-rooms, laundries and medical facilities. School clinic doctors and nurses are on duty around the clock.

Every weekend there are many shuttle buses taking the children to or from school, escorted jointly by the life-caring teachers and school guards, with destinations covering all spots of Guangzhou city and some other Pearl River Delta regions.

Within an immense campus covering 18 hectares, there are two swimming-pools, one indoor sports center, a standard stadium covered with plastic-grounded track lanes, eightout door basketball playgrounds and four volleyball playgrounds, three tennis courts,an indoor table tennis training center, a piano center with 20 pianos, a dining center with three spacious cafeterias, a mini golf course, a roller-skatingground; and two special functional areas for learning: one is the Miniature English Kingdom used for Contextual English Learning, and the other is the Ecological Garden with various species of plants, vegetables and animals for the students to learn biology. All these facilities provide a physical environment for our children to soundly develop physically, intellectually, emotionally, morallyand socially.
